Kelly Monaco's initial brush with celebrity came with her spread as Play..boy's Play..mate of the Month in April 1997. She's since gone on to appear in Baywatch and the daytime dramas Port Charles and General Hospital. In the summer of 2005, she wowed the judges and the public by winning ABC's ballroom competition, Dancing with the Stars.

Kelly Monaco is best known for her roles on the long-running syndicated series Baywatch, which launched her acting career in 1997, and on the ABC daytime dramas Port Charles and General Hospital. She's perhaps the only soap star to have played two different characters on two different shows: She portrayed Olivia "Livvie" Locke and Tess Ramsey on Port Charles, while on General Hospital, she appeared as both Samantha McCall and Alicia Montenegro.

Her work on Port Charles earned Monaco a Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series, in 2003. Her popularity on those soaps also earned her many fans, as she was voted one of the "Top 5 Actresses" by the readers of ABC Soaps In Depth for five consecutive editions during 2003. She's also been selected as Soap Opera Weekly's "Outstanding Performer of the Week" in July 2002, as well as Soap Opera Digest's "Performer of the Week" in July 2001.

Kelly's also a hit on the Internet, where she's still one of Play..boy's most popular and most searched Play..mates. She can also boast about the amount of online fan clubs and websites that are dedicated to her, and she attracted a whole lot of new fans and admirers in the summer of 2005 thanks to her participation in Dancing with the Stars.

She has had bit parts in feature films like 1998's BASEketball (where her uncredited role was that of a pole-dancing cheerleader), as well as 1999's Mumford and Idle Hands (where she briefly appeared topless). Monaco also guest starred on a 2001 episode of Spin City and has worked as a correspondent for Hard Copy.
